A brick and flint end terrace cottage, built approximately thirty years ago, and set in a pretty village that has good access to both the beautiful North Norfolk coast and many local attractions. This is a great holiday retreat for families and friends all year round.
This lovely cottage is furnished in an eclectic, relaxing and comfortable style with a mix of modern and antique furniture, and has a warm and welcoming feel as soon as you walk through the door. French doors from the enclosed cottage garden lead into a well-equipped and good sized breakfast kitchen which has soft grey floorboards, deep grey units with marble tops, so perfectly complemented by the pine table, antique elm chairs and rocking chair. The sitting room, which overlooks the village green, has plenty of comfy seating, a wood burning stover to light on cooler evenings and a barn door leading into the front garden to open on summer days. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, two with full-size single beds and one king-size, and a family bathroom.
1 Mallard Cottages is a fabulous place to stay and will appeal to families, couples and friends who enjoy a peaceful, rural location.

A good sized room with modern fitted units, electric range, butler's sink, dishwasher,large fridge. washing machine and microwave. There is a table with seating for four, as well as a rocking chair.
A pretty room overlooking the village green. Ample comfortable seating and a wood burning stove. Television and DVD player as well as record player to keep you entertained (don't forget your LPs).

There is an open garden, mainly laid to lawn, to the front, and an enclosed pretty cottage garden at the back, with bench seat and table and chairs.
Off road parking available for one car in the communal parking area shared with the adjoining cottages.
Only twenty minutes drive to the coast, and both the wonderful Pensthorpe and Sculthorpe Moor Nature Reserves are close by.
A little further afield are Houghton Hall and Sandringham House, which are well worth a visit.
There is a good choice of great places to eat locally, the nearest being The Crown at East Rudham, where there is also a village store with post office.
Tattersett is a small hamlet, surrounded by beautiful open countryside,and the perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day exploring the many nearby attractions.
The beautiful beaches at Holkham, Brancaster and Wells are all within ten miles. The nearest town is Fakenham (five miles away). Famous for its Thursday market, it also has a monthly farmer's market, racecourse, shops, supermarkets, pubs, cafes, ten-pin bowling and a cinema!
The nearby village of East Rudham has a great pub serving food and village store/post office.
