Angel Cottage is a thoughtfully renovated cottage, named after the 15th century sculpture (now headless, thanks to The Reformation!) on the front of the cottage.
There are some charming original features in the cottage, including beamed ceilings and an exposed 16th century wood wall, combined with modern comforts and it has a real home-from-home relaxed feeling.
The cottage offers comfortable accommodation for up to seven guests, with two dining areas, a wood burning stove and a country style kitchen complete with Aga. There is an enclosed garden and off road parking.
Just across the road is the Walsingham Cafe famous for its pies and pastries, as well as an art studio. The popular coastal resort of Wells-next-the-Sea is a fifteen minute drive away.
Sorry, no pets.
On entering the cottage from the back door you enter into the bright dining area, a long table seating eight guests with windows along the length of the room to the rear garden, a pew with cushions and attractive dresser.
Cosy room with a wood burning stove, television with Freeview and DVD player and CD stereo.

Angel Cottage is approached through five bar gates to the parking area at the rear of the cottage. Once the gates are closed the garden is enclosed. There is a gravelled parking area for two cars comfortably, a small lawned area to the rear and a large patio at the back of the house. There is garden furniture and a barbecue.
Great Walsingham, in true normal for Norfolk style, is actually smaller than Little Walsingham, its more famous neighbour.
The two villages are bisected by the River Stiffkey and the braver of visitors can drive through the picturesque ford providing you have a large enough vehicle.
This is a lovely spot to come and sit and watch the water float by and walk along the river bank. It is much more peaceful than Little Walsingham with a beautiful medieval church which retains much of its original art and carvings.
There is a craft barn and local cafe serving very delicious lunches and light snacks.
The coast at Wells next the Sea is a very short drive away.
