This pretty wisteria-clad cottage sits at the heart of the ancient village of Saxlingham Nethergate and yet is just a few miles from the bustling city of Norwich. Grade 11 listed and in parts dating back to the 15th Century, the owners have created a beautiful and characterful cottage. There is a bedroom on both the ground and first floor and unusually for a cottage, the impressively beamed and vaulted sitting room is also on the first floor. With a Rayburn in the kitchen, elegant furnishings and decor, this delightful cottage is the perfect spot to relax in. The village itself is in a Conservation Area, there are some lovely walks and bike rides on the doorstep and some excellent restaurants nearby. Also within easy reach is an 18 hole golf course and carp and coarse fishing lakes.

Beautiful accommodation, such an exceptional cottage and we settled in very quickly. We visited Aylsham and Sheringham and had evening fish and chips from nearby long stratton. We loved Wroxham and had some great walks with Vinnie the dog! Thankyou for the amazing cake, such a lovely surprise!

A delightful cottage, beautiful, authentic and interesting. Well decorated with lots to look at inside and out, perfect for our elderly dog. We enjoyed lots of local walks, in Norwich and Wroxham as well as further afield.

Wonderful bank holiday weekend at the cottage. Very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Would recommend the Wildebeest restaurant in Stoke Holy Cross only a few miles away. Very good food in a nice setting. Thank you Chris and Stephen for an excellent stay.

This has been such a lovely cottage. Everything we could have possibly needed or wanted. We can't thank you enough. It was especially lovely to arrive to a beautiful cake on the table and a pint of milk in the fridge! We have felt so comfortable and relaxed here, we're sad to leave. Chris and Stephen, we cannot thank you enough. God bless.

Thank you for a pleasant stay at this beautiful and cosy little cottage. You went the extra mile to welcome us on arrival despite us being very late. The tastefully decorated cottage really felt like a home away from home. It also made for a great base from which to explore the Norfolk coast and countryside.

We have spent the perfect 'family Christmas' in Apple Tree Cottage, especially enhanced by the beautiful Christmas decorations provided by Chris and Stephen. The cottage is extremely well equipped, the beds comfortable and warm. The Rayburn makes the whole place so cosy, especially over a cold and damp English winter. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us. We will certainly be back.
