Converted from a barn, this light and spacious cottage is perfect for those looking for peace & tranquility, yet near to sandy beaches, coastal paths and the local villages of St Mawes & Portscatho. Regret no dogs.

Holidaying with family or friends? this property can be combined (by way of an internal connecting door) with Crowjy Ardevora which sleeps a further 5 persons. Ardevora Vean, across the courtyard, is also available and this cottage sleeps 2 (Friday changeover).

An Gylen is one of three self catering cottages in the grounds of Ardevora Mill. This single-storey barn has been carefully converted, with high vaulted ceilings, original beams and very comfortable furnishings. An Gylen is a superb hideaway and is ideal for couples or families as there is a double bedroom with zip and link beds and a large double sofa bed in the lounge.

An Gylen has an inter connection door into, Crowjy Ardevora, which can be combined to provide accommodation for up to 9 people. For larger parties Ardevora Vean (next door, Friday changeover) can sleep a further 2 persons. You will be warmly welcomed to Ardevora Mill by the owners, Teri & Andrew, who really go out of their way to make you feel totally at home in this very special place. Ardevora is the best of both worlds - a stunning rural location (down a long farm track) but near enough to all the attractions Cornwall has to offer. The nearest beaches at Pendower and Porthcurnick are only a 10 minute drive away, the villages of St Mawes and Portscatho are within easy reach and the beautiful City of Truro is only 1/2 hour away.

Ground floor only: Enter the cottage into the spacious hallway which has doors leading off to all rooms. The open plan lounge, dining and kitchen has superb garden and countryside views. In the lounge there is a large comfortable double sofa bed, the kitchen is well equipped kitchen & the dining area has access to the patio & gaden. The bedroom has 3' zip and link beds which can be made up us a 6' double bed or two singles, as you prefer, and has views over the garden. The 'wet style' shower room also has a WC, wash hand basin, with a free standing shower stool (on request), and non slip tiled floor
Exterior: To the rear of the cottage is a large enclosed patio and grassed garden, which is shared with the adjoining cottage, Crowjy Ardevora. There is plenty of garden furniture and BBQs are also available. Alongside the cottage is a shared laundry room, with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink.

Facilities & Services
Heating is via oil fire under floor heating & electricity. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge with freezer compartment, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, electric oven & ceramic hob. The lounge area has a TV with Freeview & DVD player. WiFi is available at the site. There is an iron and ironing board.

Electricity, heating, bed linen & towels are all included, but you will need to provide your own beach towels. There is ample parking available for a number of cars on the private driveway. We regret that guests' dogs are not permitted. Regrettably no smoking is allowed. For younger guests a cot & high chair is available on request. For those of you that are feeling a little more energetic the owners have kayaks available so you can explore the river at your leisure.

The tiny tranquil Cornish village of Philleigh is in superb countryside in the heart of the rural Roseland Peninsula, Cornwall. Famous for its sixteenth century pub, The Roseland Inn. Philleigh is ideally located for exploring the countryside of the Roseland Peninsula whilst only a ten minute drive from the superb beaches around Portscatho & Carne. The D-Day embarkation points at Turnaware Point and Smugglers Cottage are only a short drive from Philleigh.

The nearest pubs are the Roseland Inn at Philleigh, the Kings Arms at Tregony and the Kings Head at Ruan Lanihorne, all or which serve excellent food. There are shops, restaurants and local facilities in Portscatho & St Mawes.
