Burnham Market is often regarded as the loveliest village in Norfolk and is close to the North Norfolk Coast.
For intimate dining head to 20 North Street, for Tapas and sharing plates, try Socius; or stroll down to No.Twenty9 where they cook your food over an open fire pit imported from New York no less!
The Hoste Arms offers plenty of charm and character and both informal or fine dining and you can choose to eat in their front or back restaurant or outside in their sunny terraced garden. The Hoste Beauty Spa, also in the village allows you to enjoy some well-deserved pampering during your stay.
Head to Burnham Thorpe to retrace Admiral Lord Nelson’s steps or Brancaster Staithe where Nelson first learned to sail.
Enjoy the beaches at Brancaster or Wells where you can enjoy sunbathing in the sandy dunes or pull on your walking boots and enjoy a coastal walk to Burnham Overy Staithe where you can watch the boats or catch a boat to secluded Scolt Head Island, one of North Norfolk's best kept secrets.
Don’t forget to visit Holkham, considered the best beach in the UK and where the closing scenes of Shakespeare In Love were filmed.
With numerous stately homes; including Houghton Hall; Felbrigg and Blickling and of course HM The Queen’s Sandringham residence to visit, you will adore the variety and natural feel this wonderful coast offers.
Immerse yourself in the birdlife at Titchwell, Snettisham or Cley-next-the-Sea reserves, or of course Pensthorpe where you can enjoy a wildlife safari.
