This lovingly renovated, delightful 300 year old listed cottage is set in the heart of Stow. Coniston House is within easy walking distance of the town square where a selection of shops, pubs & restaurants await. The window seats and original beams all add to the character of this charming cottage.
Please note this property has a capacity of six (plus two sleeping on sofa bed chairs).
Sofa beds can be added during the booking process (£40 per person).
A high chair and travel cot are available on request. ( Linen not provided)
A hairdryer is provided in each bedroom.
One well behaved dog welcome. (Small additional charge).
Please note that for one week in October and one week in May each year many of the amenities and pubs in Stow-on-the-Wold shut due to the Gypsy Horse Fair. If your chosen dates fall in either of these months, please feel free to call to discuss.
Entrance via a porch into the
With a three seater leather sofa and two easy chairs. Character features include original beams and a window seat where you can watch the world go by. Also a flat screen SMART television with Freeview. Please note that the fireplace is ornamental and cannot be used. Double french patio doors lead to the courtyard.
With an oak table with seating for six to eight.
With an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave and washing machine. The back door leads from the kitchen into the courtyard and in to the garden.
With a 6’ brass double bed and window seat.
With two single beds.
With a claw foot bath and shower attachment, Jack and Jill sinks, heated towel rail and wc.
With a 5’ oak double bed.
With a bath and shower over, wash basin and wc.
Den/second sitting room
With two single sofa bed chairs (an additional charge of £40 per person applies for use of extra sleeping arrangements) a 46″ flat screen internet enabled television with BT vision and a PS3 player.
With wash basin is located across the landing.
Outside there is a fully enclosed lawned garden and a courtyard area. The table and seating for six provide an ideal area for al fresco dining.
Coniston House is located very centrally in Stow-on-the-Wold where you will find wonderful antique shops and boutiques, art galleries, a selection of quaint tearooms and a superb choice of country pubs and excellent restaurants.
Stow-on-the-Wold is an excellent base for walkers, with many paths running from the town itself.
Within a short drive from the cottage, you can explore the picturesque towns and villages of The Slaughters, Chipping Campden, Broadway and Burford.
There are many attractions in the local area, including Snowshill Manor and Lavender Farm, Sudeley Castle, Adam Hensons's Cotswold Farm Park and Batsford Arboretum and Falconry Centre.
Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon is a little further afield, but well worth a visit.
