No. 33 Cottage 3 is an old fisherman’s cottage located in the beautiful village of Thornham, in walking distance of the beach and fabulous pubs and restaurants. With a pretty garden and outside areas, this cottage is tucked away, yet less than a minutes' walk from the renowned Thornham Deli/café which serves some of the best breakfasts, coffee and food along the coast!
On that theme, if you love your food and everything North Norfolk, you will just adore Thornham! With three fantastic award-winning pub/restaurants and one of the best and funkiest fish and chip restaurants along the coast and an award-winning yurt restaurant, providing a unique dining experience, a farm shop and pick-your-own fruit farm, plus lifestyle and clothing shops to tempt and inspire, you are simply spoilt for choice!
This cute little coastal gem keeps giving with its proximity to the harbour and beach. With a lovely open-plan living space with painted wooden kitchen and small table and four chairs and pretty sitting area with comfy sofa and open fire, you feel cosy from the moment you step inside. Snuggle down in front of the fire on cooler evenings or in the summer, pour a glass of wine and relax in the private garden to the rear. With character and Norfolk charm, this property has a traditional Norfolk winder staircase so would not be suitable for the less able or families with very young children. Upstairs you will find a double bedroom and bunk bedroom (which would suit children better) with views over front and rear garden respectively. There is a shower room with WC and sink which serves both bedrooms. Outside there is a plenty of space to relax after a busy day exploring the coast.
Norfolk Hideaways market all four cottages in this terrace, so if you are a bigger party wanting to be close to one another, but not wanting to be in one another's pockets, consider renting this cottage in conjunction with No. 33 Cottage 1, No. 33 Cottage 2, or No. 33 Cottage 4.
One well behaved dog welcome (small additional charge).
Please note: The Norfolk Winder stairs are, as with older character cottages, enclosed, steep, curved and narrow. Here they are wooden with no hand rail.
Access at the front of the cottage is via a gravel path.
Open-plan living area

Steep narrow stairs lead off to the first floor bedroom accommodation and there is a door to the back garden.
The sitting room has a cosy feel with open fireplace with grate, comfy two-seater sofa, two chairs, a rug, wall-mounted television with Freeview. Electric radiator. A back door leads out to the front gravelled area.
Large bedroom with double bed, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, mirror ceiling light. Window with wooden blinds. Electric radiator.
Two full-size bunk beds (more suited to children), chest of drawers, window with wooden blinds. Electric radiator.
Shower room with walk-in electric shower, WC, sink with mirror, electric heated towel rail, recessed lighting and tiled floor.
Small rear courtyard with garden furniture.
Parking is available at the Thornham Deli car park which is opposite the cottage.
Thornham is picturesque yet vibrant and is an old smuggling village right on the North Norfolk Coast. Wide expanses of salt marsh separate the village from the sea and it is a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers.
There are several great places to eat including Thornham Deli, selling all manner of local produce, cakes, specialities and great coffee (and breakfast and lunch too!), The Lifeboat Inn, an old smuggling haunt complete with heavy beams and roaring fires, is great for relaxed dining whilst The Orange Tree is a great gastro pub. Head to The Chequers and enjoy a variety of dishes. You will love Drove Orchards at the end of the village, which started as a farm shop and pick-your-own-fruit farm, but which has now evolved into so much more! Now boasting a fresh fish bar, Eric's fish and chips (such a cool place) and Schucks restaurant which is housed in a yurt you will adore the diversity of this little village right on the coast.
The beach, reached by a walk past the harbour and over the sea defence and over the salt marshes, is stunning and you will be rewarded by peace and quiet whatever time of year you are visiting. Outside of the village you will find other spectacular beaches; Old Hunstanton; Holme-next-the-Sea; Titchwell and Brancaster, where a few miles further don't miss one of the best beaches in the UK at Holkham Estate, where you can also explore the hall and its vast parkland.
At Wells-next-the-Sea you will adore crabbing on the quay or visit the seals at nearby Morston or Blakeney. HM The Queen's Sandringham Estate is close by as is the Titchwell RSPB Reserve, or head to Holme Dunes nature reserve run by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust.
