A light and airy contemporary property in Brancaster with upstairs living space, giving views over the salt marshes towards the sea.


Driftwood House is a light and airy contemporary property situated in Brancaster. It really does have the 'wow' factor. The accommodation is ‘upside down’ to take advantage of the views over the salt marshes towards the sea.
The sitting room is comfortable and has the advantage of a contemporary wood burning stove for the cooler months. There is plenty of seating and the kitchen is well-equipped. All the bedrooms are downstairs, and the fourth bedroom can be either used as a bedroom using the sofa bed with proper mattress, or as a sun room with access to the gardens through the french doors.

Brancaster is known for its simply stunning beach. It stretches for miles, backed by gentle sand dunes and the famous links golf course of The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club.

Sunny room with french doors to the gardens. Wall bed with proper mattress that converts to a sofa. Large screen television with integrated DVD.

First Floor:

Open-plan area (please note there is no stair gate, so not suitable for families with small children)

Sitting area
Open-plan space with lovely views over the salt marsh towards the sea from a Juliette balcony. Featuring a wood burning stove, television with Freeview and DVD player and CD player.
Dining area
With dining table and seating for eight.
Kitchen area
Contemporary and well equipped, with double built in ovens, large hob, fridge freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. Nespresso machine (capsules not provided).
(Washing machine,tumble dryer, extra fridge and wine cooler in garage).

Landscaped garden with decked areas and seaside style planting. Barbecue and garden furniture.
Shower room and utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge and wine cooler.

Brancaster seals bask on the creek edges and children can safely paddle in the tidal lagoons. The tide goes out a long way revealing the shipwreck of the SS Vina (beware of strong tides and do not venture out!) The sand is perfect for sandcastles and picnics. Kite surfers provide exciting entertainment on windy days.
Parking is a few yards from the beach and anyone who walks that little bit further will be rewarded with their own private stretch of sand!
The Ship public house has recently been reopened under Chris Couborough The Flying Kiwi Chef to great reviews.
Traditional ice-cream and lollies can be had from the booth on the beach! Wildlife along the coast is abundant and accessible, Marsh Harriers wheel overhead along with Avocets, Oyster Catchers and Terns.
A trip would not be complete without tasting the famous mussels, in season when there is an 'R' in the month.
