Formerly one large house, the property is now divided into two apartments (Dunkery Apartment on the second floor, Hurlestone Apartment on the first floor), and the owners living quarters on the ground floor. Entrance to the property is via the main front door which opens into a communal hallway, two flights of carpeted stairs takes you up to Dunkery Apartment. The entrance door opens into a small internal hallway, leading to the sitting room (with sofabed which can sleep 2 exra guests) with stunning views over the bay. An archway leads into the kitchen with dining area overlooking the bay. The bedroom has retained a number of original Edwardian features including a delightful arched window and the original servant's fireplace. The bedroom window to the rear of the property overlooks the gardens; the double bed can be made up as twin beds on request. The shower room is comprised of toilet, hand basin and shower as well as the usual toiletries including soap, shampoo, bodywash and shower cap.
The kitchen is fitted with fridge (with freezer compartment), microwave, oven with hob and dishwasher. Other equipment includes toaster, kettle, a variety of kitchen utensils, cafetiere, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
A television with freeview and DVD player is provided in the living area. Wireless internet is available at no extra cost. A hair dryer is provided for your convenience.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Dunkery Apartment has central heating which will be programmed for you but can be adjusted to suit your preferences. Additional electric heaters are also provided, should you require them.
Bed linen, duvets, blankets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.
A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits are provided to ensure you can have a hot drink as soon as you arrive. There is also a complimentary bottle of wine
Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets as well as toilet rolls are provided.
Guests have use of the garden which is approached by the side path from the car park. There is off road parking in front of Seapoint which will comfortably accommodate 2 cars – one for each apartment.
Children are welcome and cots and high chairs are available.
Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement (maximum of 2). Please do not allow your dogs on the furniture and do not leave them alone in the property at any time.

The property will be ready from 4 pm on the day of your arrival. Please depart by 10 am on the last day of your stay. Please leave the property clean and tidy so that we can guarantee it will be ready on time for our next guests.
Exmoor is situated in South West Britain, specifically across West Somerset and North Devon. Often referred to as England's best kept secret, Exmoor is a wonderful holiday destination for anyone looking for a holiday in the great outdoors! There's so much to see and do, from short walks to long expeditions across the moors or horse riding, taking in a safari or sight-seeing at your own pace around the 'picture postcard' villages and hamlets.
Often described as 'the jewel in Exmoor's crown', Porlock has a long history of settlements existing on or near the site of the existing village, with stone-age remains only a short distance away. Porlock is a working village and boasts a number of pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and independent shops. There few more delightful surroundings than Porlock Vale, nestled at the foot of Porlock Hill, bounded to the north by its shingle ridge and breath taking views towards the Bristol Channel, and to the south by the rolling hills of the Exmoor National Park. The Exmoor coastline is formed mainly of cliffs but at Porlock the land flattens out and a unique mile long shingle ridge and an inland salt marsh have formed. For the bird watcher this is a very interesting site as a great variety of waders and wildfowl can be seen here in the winter as well as the occasional unusual bird passing through.
The village of Porlock is just a few minutes walk from Dunkery Apartment and boasts three pubs, two grocery shops, a traditional local butcher, chemist, cash machine, petrol station, hardware shop, visitor centre and a range of independent restaurants, shops, tea rooms and antique shops. The harbour at Porlock Weir is approximately 1.5 miles further on from Porlock. There are two restaurants, a pub and a range of individual shops such as tea rooms, Exmoor Glass, etc. Many of the shops in Porlock and Porlock Weir are open during traditional hours of 9 am to 5 pm, although hours are often extended during the summer season. Conversely, some shops also reduce their opening hours out of season. Minehead is the nearest town, approximately 6 miles from Porlock. Here you will find the larger supermarkets and petrol stations (Tesco and Morrison's are both situated on the outskirts of the town and have longer opening hours), most major high street banks with cash machines, plus a range of other shops throughout the town.
