A fabulous upside-down house with magnificent sea views, within walking distance of both the beach and Hunstanton town centre.
Ebbtide is a modern 'beach house' that has been refurbished from top to bottom and decorated in a light and bright seaside style. The open-plan living area is on the second floor to take full advantage of the spectacular open view to the coast. There's a spacious balcony here too, with table and chairs so you can enjoy breakfast outside in the summer months or watch the sun go down with a bottle of wine at the end of a busy day (Hunstanton is renowned for its stunning sunsets). There are two double bedrooms and two bathrooms on the first floor, and a further sitting room on the ground floor where doors lead out into the garden. An internal garage has a large wet room off, perfect for dealing with sandy, salty toes (including the dogs!) after a day spent on the beach. Please note the garden area is communal and not enclosed.
Ebbtide is a perfect base for families, couples and friends who are looking for a traditional seaside holiday with beautiful local beaches, as well as easy access to excellent local facilities, and the availability of plenty of things to do and many wonderful places to visit close by.
One well behaved dog is welcome (small additional charge).
A great space for keeping bikes and beach paraphernalia. There's a useful wet room, perfect for dealing with a sandy dog and little ones after a day on the beach. There's also a handy washing machine here.
An alternative sitting area with doors leading out to the communal garden.
At the front of the house with views to the coast and a king-size bed.
With modern white suite including bath with shower over, wash basin and WC.
Situated at the back of the house. With a double bed (please note there is access to one side of the bed only).
With shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
A very pleasant, light and airy dual aspect, open-plan kitchen/sitting/dining room with balcony
With windows overlooking the rear of the property and well-equipped with Smeg electric cooker with induction hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave. There is a breakfast bar with six stools.
With plenty of comfortable seating and a television with Freeview, Blu-Ray DVD player and CD player. Patio doors open to the balcony, where there is a table and chairs.
The extensive open plan, communal garden area is shared with other properties in the complex and available for guests to use.
Parking is to the rear of the house which, again, is shared with other residents.
Hunstanton is a traditional Victorian seaside town complete with a wonderful sandy beach, fish and chip shops and renowned for it's beautiful sunsets over the sea. It has become a mecca for Kite Surfers and there are regular competitions held over the year.
Buckets and spades are the order of the day and the town bustles during the summer months. The town was founded by Henry Le Strange and in 1846 he had the idea to cash in on the new craze of bathing in the sea by creating the 'sea bathing station' of Hunstanton St Edmund.
There are lots of interesting buildings around the original Victorian town, many in the Arts and Crafts style; the architect HG Ibberson being responsible for many of the fine buildings.
With grassy peaceful squares, a long promenade and a green that runs down to the bandstand, Hunstanton provides a traditional seaside family holiday for everyone.
Guests who have not been to Hunstanton before are always surprised at what a fabulous beach there is, it is one of only a couple that you can actually walk to without crossing the salt marshes, and it is well worth making the detour from the more well known places such as Brancaster.
The famous red and white striped cliffs are a good source of fossils.
