It was very homely and comfortable. The setting was idyllic with the sheep across the way.

Beautiful cottage in an idyllic location. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently spend 13 nights at Fairview Cottage and could not speak more highly of the cottage and it's location. The cottage has everything you would want including comfy beds and good heating, along with an open fireplace for those extra cold nights. With a windmill, two pubs and the lovely village of Woodchurch literally on your doorstep, it's a great place to stay! The only slight drawback to the cottage is the low ceiling in the main lounge room which is not ideal for someone very tall (6ft+), but you soon get used to ducking under the ceiling beams :) Date of arrival 09 November 2018

We had a wonderful familiy holiday at Faiview Cottage. It´s equipped with so much love, that you instantly feel at home. Our three children loved to stroll around the fields and visit the sheep. Grandma enjoyed the garden with its flowers. We had a lot of day outs. My mother in law and me joined the Eveningsong at Canterbury Cathedral and the children were happy at the Rare Breeds Farm. It was a perfect family holiday for everyone.

What a lovely week we have spent in your beautiful cottage which is so cosy and full of character. The views across the fields to the village are gorgeous and we enjoyed walking to the windmill and watching it working. The mill is lit up at night which is a bonus ! Very well located with two great pubs just 5 minutes muddy walk away! I'm sure we will visit again !

We have spent a fantastic week here in Woodchurch. The cottage is absolutely lovely, cosy and charming with it's period details yet perfectly functional, we loved the garden too!. Woodchurch is a lovely village (the Kentish sausages from the local butchers are so good!) We enjoyed the beaches and Canterbury, there are so many walks that are very easily accessible. the rare Breeds Farm is only a 20 minute walk away from the cottage and the children loved it! We hope to be back some day.

We have just had a most enjoyable week in Kent, visiting many NT properties and gardens. We enjoyed staying in this attractive and cosy cottage. We were also blessed with sunshine every day. We found the best pub for the food and beer to be the Six Bells in the village - booking essential - noisy at weekends. A trip to the Kings Head in Shadoxhurst is worth it. We will certainly come back again, many thanks

We have had a fantastic fortnight here. The cottage is very comfortable and has everything you could need and in a great location. The children have loved playing in the garden and my 2 year old has been slightly obsessed by the sheep! We have all had a much needed very relaxing break from our busy lives. Thanks for the lovely cottage.

Nice place, nice surroundings, nice pubs, nice weather, nice walks and a nice house.

Lovely cottage, owner has it very well furnished with period furniture and tasteful decorations. Finding the keys was a bit tricky, but you can't beat this place for location, (2 pubs and shops a short walk away in Woodchurch) and the period cottage is lovely. The furniture is comfortable and there are some great antiques scattered around in keeping with the age of the property. The back garden is a good size and isn't just lawn. Car parking is strict because of neighbouring cottages, but the instructions are very clear. We are looking forward to returning. Thanks

Lovely cottage, beautiful area to explore - Rye especially worth a visit. Local pubs goo too. Only complaints are that cooker needed a good clean and the kitchen windows do not open.Owner response: New more reliable house keeper appointed and extra window keys provided.

Great place to spend a long weekend or week with family or friends, beautiful scenery to go for a hike or pub food at the local pubs (walking distance). Landlord was very helpful answering our questions. Excellent kitchen, central heating and hot water facilities. Particularly beautiful during spring with blue bells everywhere.

A beautiful cottage in a great location. Great views and a bonus of being able to walk down to the village. We found the Bonny Cravat pub, don't be put off by the exterior. The pub offers good food at reasonable prices.

We had a great stay even though the weather was bad at times! The children loved the quirky staircase from the bedroom and the garden was big enough for games. Apart from the Kent and East Sussex Railway Tenterden also has an excellent leisure centre with a good swimming pool to visit on a rainy day. The cottage was well placed for outings to Camber, Hastings and Dymchurch as well as Bodiam Castle (by steam rail). Had the weather been better we would also have visited nearby nature reserves. We would stay here again. Thanks to the owner for ringing and telling us about the footpath past the windmill to give a short cut to the village.
