Within walking distance (thirty minutes) of the wonderful deserted beach, and on the coastal path route, Ivy Cottage is in a popular location. There are several excellent places to eat including The Orange Tree, The Old Coach House and The Lifeboat Inn all within walking distance. This delightful cottage is a perfect base for a North Norfolk holiday.

The garden is a real feature of Ivy Cottage, completely enclosed by a wall with several mature fruit trees including a Mulberry, Medlar, Peach and Apple.
There is a small herb patch which cooks are free to use! A lovely patio area off the dining room makes a wonderful area for summer eating. Complete with table and chairs and a barbecue.
Thornham is an old smuggling village right on the North Norfolk Coast and now is one of the most popular villages to holiday for a short break or longer stay.
Wide expanses of saltmarsh separate the village from the sea and it is a paradise for walkers and bird watchers.
There are several great places to eat including Thornham Deli which sells all manner of local produce and great coffee, cake, breakfasts and lunches.
The Lifeboat Inn, an old smuggling haunt, complete with heavy beams and roaring fires, is delightful any time of year and The Orange Tree is a lovely gastro pub.
Enjoy pizza and pasta at The Chequer's before heading off to the beach for the day which is reached by walking over the sea defence and across the salt marshes. You'll be rewarded by peace and quiet and a stunning sandy beach where you can escape from everyday life.
