Rivermead Farm Cottage is a 250 year old, south facing, beautifully restored and furnished atmospheric cottage set in 17 acres of grounds. It possesses a wealth of exposed beams and period features, including an inglenook fireplace with a woodburner. With its stunning views, woodland, river and lakeside walks, picnic spots and free private salmon and trout fishing on the River Fowey, this really is the most idyllic spot to unwind and relax.

Set in 17 acres of idyllic grounds with a half mile of private River Fowey frontage offering top class private salmon and trout fishing, Rivermead has some of the most spectacular scenery and whether fishing, bird watching, sightseeing, walking, golfing, cycling or just relaxing, Rivermead Farm Cottage is the perfect holiday destination. Beautifully appointed with south facing views, the cottage is steeped in character and possesses a wealth of exposed beams and period features, including an original inglenook fireplace with a wood burner.

There are stunning, uninterrupted panoramic views of rolling farmland, mature spruce forests, natural woodland and livestock in adjoining fields. Set around a courtyard and overlooking the natural slope down to the river the delightful surroundings provide a peaceful environment for all ages. During your stay at Rivermead it is possible to see kingfisher, otters, badgers, foxes, owls, wild deer, heron, mallards, moorhen and Canadian geese, not to mention bluetits, finches, nuthatches, robins, woodpeckers, thrushes and hovering birds of prey.

The lake provides an idyllic setting for sitting out on a summer’s evening, watching the setting sun, with a glass of wine perhaps. There are benches and picnic tables both outside the properties and by the river and lake and portable barbeques are available. River fishing in season. Fishing is free on the River Fowey (please enquire as to availability). Whether an experienced fisherman or a novice, why not relax down by the water and pit your wits against nature.
