Smugley Cottage is in a really pleasant spot, close to the village of Goudhurst and central for many Kent attractions particularly National Trust properties. The country lanes, much to our surprise, are almost empty of traffic. We thoroughly recommend driving off the beaten track to get a real flavour of the area.

A lovely warm welcome to a beautiful, cosy, well-equipped cottage. The cake was delicious - thank you. We love the view and the pheasants - it's a wonderful spot and so peaceful. We loved walking into the village and coffee at the Star and Eagle. We've had a great week visiting many NT and EH sites. There's so much to see we'll have to come back!
